Comet P1 C/2023 Nishimura
Currently skirting our solar skies at a distance of 78 million miles (at the closest from Earth), this green visitor has an orbital period of 437 years (time taken for it to complete one revolution around the sun). It was founded by Hideo Nishimura from Japan in early August. Currently it is nearing the sun and it will start its return journey late next week.
This shot was taken in the early hours of Sep 08. The gradient between the night and sunrise was a nice backdrop to shoot this long tailed celestial body.
