The background image is a 3 frames averaged from the middle 30 minutes of shooting. The 6 meteors shown were captured from this same pose and timeframe, then selectively added over the background with vibrance and brightness increased.
The Lyrid meteor shower put on a little show in the half hour before astronomical twilight began on the morning of April 22 in Colorado. The six meteors in this frame were stacked in photoshop on a set of three background frames, averaged for noise.
