Nikon P1000
crop, slight enhance in Photoshop
The green flash appeared on top of the fiery red sun as it was setting on the ocean horizon. It is now an accepted fact that the green flash is a real phenomenon, not a myth. The iridescent brief flash of green occurs when the Earth's atmosphere acts like both a prism and a lens, in this instance, as the setting sun is about to disappear on the horizon.
The marine clouds that linger on the horizon has now draped the sun. Over the sun the birds flying south are brown pelicans migrating to South California and Mexico.
Happy Captures!
